Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Hi all, thank you so much for being part of my life and the ups and downs. I had no idea how much you guys really lift my spirits, and I always love reading your comments.

I really felt very encouraged after my health scare last year and I just want to say thank you again for your support.

I pray you have a wonderful Christmas Season, and I hope you will enjoy the Christmas break and that the New Year will bring great things.

I pray that you will have health, wealth and wisdom in abundance. I am a great believer in New Beginnings, but to do so you must forgive and let go to have a clean slate, to be able to start again.

And lastly and the most important, don't forget the reason for the season...

See you all in the New Year
Blessings Hilde

DT Card for SAS4Kids - Great news

Hi all, I have some exciting news, after a long hiatus from being on the DT of a variety of Challenge blogs, Karen from SAS4Kids asked if was interested in coming back and I sure was.
It's like coming home.

Thanks Karen, big hello to my Team Mates as well, looking forward to working with you all, Blessings Hilde

Here is my first card to get my feet wet so to speak. I pray you will all have a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the New Year. See you all in 2016 on SAS4Kids....blessings Hilde

Using a Bugaboo image and the rest is from my stash, I always use Pro markers for my colouring and the leaves are a MS punch, and the flower is made from fabric which I purchased off ebay. And lots of glitter, of course. I am loving the sentiment don't you ?

#49 - DT project for Crafting with Dragonflies - Anything Christmas

Hi all, it's the last challenge for the year over at Crafting with Dragonflies. It's anything Christmas, so the theme is great, and you can make whatever. From Cards to album, scrap booking to knitting.
Normally we are only a Card Challenge, but are pulling out all stops for our last challenge.

So I made this cute little Mini Scrapbook from scratch. There are at least another five pages but didn't want to bore you too much...you get the idea...

What I actually did, was took a full Scrapbook page and folded it over with a small overlap for glueing , so it enden up like a tube. Then I folded 1/3 of it over again to create the unique look of a paper bag, but with both bottoms open, I did 10 of those and stuck them together on the short ends, two by two. Then glued them together to create a booklet, then covered the outside front and back with what looks like a book binding. All that was left to do was to embellish and create lots of tags.
I enjoyed doing it ,but it is time consuming and you will need to use solid papers. For the front and back I did use some thicker cardboard to give it that book feel.
Now it's your turn.
Blessings Hilde
