DT card for Crafting with Dragonflies # 46 - Pinktober/Breastcancer

Hi all, hope you have been well. So happy that you are here and visiting.
This fortnight over at Crafting with Dragonflies is a theme close to my heart..

We are asked to make a card in pink with Breast Cancer in mind, as October is Breast cancer month.
We have either had it are going through it of know some one with it, it is tragic how many are affected by this cancer. And more and more men are being diagnosed now as well....

I would just like to encourage everyone that is affected by this, HANG IN THERE!!. Enjoy the time you have and in today's fast paced medical world, they are coming up with new medications and treatments all the time. DON"T GIVE UP HOPE.

Here is my contribution to the challenge, why not hop on over to the Dragonflies and join, blessings Hilde

I bought this cute new background die from ebay this week, and it did not come in a special package, so no name brand, but it is cute. The butterflies are all punches from MS. I could not find a cute pink ribbon, but found this lovely double sided one that worked out perfectly...the image is from my ephemera collection on Pinterest....hope you like it, blessings Hilde

Some Roses from my Garden

Hi friends, I just thought I would share some pics of my collection of David Austin Roses that are in full bloom at the moment. I must say I am quiet proud of them. I never thought I could grow a rose, let alone have a mass of flowers. I keep smelling them all the time, and nearly sucked a small spider up my nostril, lol. The smell is wonderful, like turkish delight, just divine.
I had some red ones as well but my oldest son wanted them (oh yeah, mmmm? )
Just wanted to share my blessings with you

If any of you awesome rose professors are out there, I would appreciate some of the technical names of them, as I bought them in a bunch, and it was pot luck, so I didn't know what I ended up with...
Not complaining though.

DT Card for # 45: Recycle something not normally used on a card

Hi everyone, over at Crafting with Dragonflies is another new Challenge starting, this time it's CG's turn and she chose: Recycle something not normally used on a card.

So I didn't really have anything, and I was late putting on my card, because I had one of the moments where I just could not find anything....until I walked into my garden and checked out my plants, very pleased to say my Vanilla Orchid is actually flowering, small mauve ones, so cute. And there was my husband sweeping up all the leaves from all over the place and this little gorgeous gum leaf stuck out. So I used it, insect holes and all, on the card..hope you like it.
I also used an assortment of leaf die cuts to give him some company, lol. Papers and everything else from my stash.

Blessings Hilde
