Stamping ground - What's on your Workdesk Week 77

Hi guys, I have always been intrigued about other peoples work spaces. Sooo, this is my 'first' time. And I didn't tidy, it looks a mess to me. On the right you can see a organized messy pile, which is a box that i put everything into that I don't know what to do with. Every now and then (  more then) I tidy it up and go through it. When I do, I am always shocked to find what's in it. Last time I did it I found my long lost car rego papers, LOL. I swear I have noooo idea how they got there........
I recently purchased two ribbon holder thingys, which I love, love love. At lieast that is semi sorted...
Have a great week everyone.

I enjoy how I can incorporate my faith in my new love of card making without being 'icky', LOL. You know what I mean.

Challenges: A spoonfull of sugar, keep it simple, create4fun, cards for men

Hi all, how has your week been so far? Well here in Sydney we have had sunshine for the last couple of day, whoohoo!!!
I am just about to run out the door, but can't resist to enter this card before I go. I am very much drawn to simplicity, the older I get the more 'uncomplicated' I like it. Not just in cards, LOL. Life is hard enough as it is, so why complicate things, or make it hard for yourself. And one realises (with age) that having a lot of 'stuff' doesn;t always make life easier, often add another burden, because now you have to maintain all the 'stuff'. Oh the card.....
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
A spoonfull of sugar# 131: Anything goes

Challenges: Sweetstampin challenge, Marks finest papers, Keep it simple, Creat4fun

Hi all, it;s sort of funny making snow and winter wonderland cards , when here in Australia there is no snow to be found anywhere. Most of us have memories of hot weather, shorts and thongs(flip flops) and BBQ's. Even though Turkey is for most still the main Christmas Dinner and probably the only time we eat turkey. Most Aussies however tend to go for seafood, lots and lots of prawns. We all love our Christmas Ham and salads galore. The younger families opt for the easy, help yourself style buffet these days. Who wants to bake and cook for hours on a hot Summersday?
Apart from all of that, just making a snow flake christmassy card makes me cooler already, he, he.
Hope you like my take on the sketch and challenges. I am entering this card into the following"

Challenge: Stamping Vacation: Thanksgiving

Hi all, hope everyone is well. I keep skipping past the Stamping Vacation Challenge Blog, thinking I will get back to it a little later. Then you start blog hopping and before you know it, it;s time for bed and I missed it again. Well I decided to start entering, doesn't matter if I don't try to have the same card in a hundred other challenges, you can never have too many cards right? Even though we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, I love the idea. All of our seasons here are upsidedown as well. So we would have to celebrate in March/April ?. Ah, who knows. Love the whole Thanksgiving sentiment. God is good.
Hope you like my entry. Blessings Hilde

Challenge: Daring Cardmakers: Remembrance Day

Hi all, every now and then comes a card challenge that takes my breath away. Remembrance Day is a day to reflect and honour the soldiers fallen, without the sacrifice of the 1st world war soldiers (or any soldiers for that matter) who knows where we would be today. The brave men that have died so we may live in peace. A huge price to pay, so we need to honour that. We need to remember that every day, when we can pretty much say what we want, read the bible if we so choose, watch or not watch the TV, go to the mall without being persecuted because of whatever. Do we really apppreciate the freedom we have? I am guilty that I too sometimes forget.
I get very emotional on remembrance day, when they play 'the last post'. I tear up and my heart stirs.
I give honour and thanks to all the soldiers that have died, we have lost quiet a few Aussie soldiers in Afghanistan this year. Australia has never been involved in a war itself, but we have been involved in every war because of us being alies to the countries that are in conflict. Always putting our hand up to help. Sometimes we wonder why we are there? Was the sacrifice worth it? Always fighting wars in other countries for other countries. But where would we be today if not for their sacrifice?
Freedom comes with a price.
Thanks to Daring Cardmakers for this awesome Card Challenge.

Challenge: Colour Create,Cute Card Thursday, Dutch Dare

Hi again, I had a wonderful evening last night, everyone was in bed and i was 'creating', LOL. Why is it when 'they' are all asleep, your heart fills with love and you look at them all ( including hubby) and one is sooo grateful for ones lot. So what happens with that, when they all wake up and the peace and serenity is out the window, and everyone is looking for something, socks, lunch bags, the shirt you forgot to iron because you were so busy creating....
Ahhhh.... well their gone again, off to work and now peace is back once again.....
